The Ant Rescuer
It’s happened. I have become the ultimate superhero to bugs and I didn’t even realize it.
Last summer, I probably would have squished an ant that came into my apartment. I wouldn’t have been happy about my doing so, and I would have contemplated it first, but, in all honesty, I was a bug squisher. If they came into my territory it was their fault.
No longer is this true.
I now rescue every stink bug, spider, ant, fly (though they make it kind of hard), ladybug, and more.

Last night, there was an ant in my kitchen. Without a second thought, I reached down towards him and spent a good minute trying to encourage him to crawl onto my finger. I trapped him in my hands and headed to the window. My red (as in the opposite of green, so says the color wheel) roommate didn’t even hesitate when I asked him to open the window. I think he - and the bugs - are getting used to me no longer being a squisher.

I am a bug/spider rescuer too. My husband used to think I was crazy (probably still does a little) but now he saves them for me too.
I just ordered a bug vacuum for if I ever have a problem with an ant outbreak. Have you ever used one?
