Sex and the City Movie Gift Wraps Me Today’s Topic

by

In an effort to continue making and breaking as many negative stereotypes as possible, I bring you a scene from the upcoming, now-filming, Sex and the City movie.

In this photo, you can see Kim Cattrall - who has played the sexually-outrageous Samantha Jones since the show was born - donning a white fur coat that has been splattered Carrie-style with red paint. satc.jpg

Word around the paint can is that a scene was filmed where actors were supposed to be portraying PETA representatives as they tossed buckets o’ blood-like liquid on the dead animal skin-wearing fashion victim.

Great. Here we go again. Vegans are not only skinny and pale, but we are militant and throw blood. We believe that all other people’s beliefs are wrong and therefore we refuse to even listen to them. A vegetarian would clearly never take the time to sit down and chat with you about why they make the choices that they do, and how they lead their life.

Right? We, the people whose hearts ache for the suffering we see in the world’s animals are probably so in tune with animals that we cannot set our minds and hearts in line with our fellow human being.

Sigh. How stereotypical - movie men went for the sensational, dramatic events over the truth.

And just for the record, straight from PETA Jack’s mouth, “PETA doesn’t throw paint on fur wearers. What we suggest is giving them an earful while handing them [a] nifty anti-fur business cards, or maybe encouraging them to display [a] wonderful little warning labels” stating: I’m an asshole; I wear fur.
