Dinner’s Blended Tonight
I thought I was a smoothie addict, but then I stumbled upon Smoothie Web. Now there’s someone who loves some blended beverages!
I arrived home hot, miserable, and not too hungry tonight. So into the blender went all the produce goodness.
I followed the basic recipe on Smoothie Web for a Strawberry Soy Smoothie:
Adding the soy and tofu gives this a protein boost along with all the helpful nutrition provided by soy and tofu.
* 1 cup vanilla soy milk
* 5 ounces silken tofu, firm, chilled and cubed
* 2 cups frozen or fresh strawberries
* 2 tablespoons honey
* 1/2 teaspoon vanillaCombine in blender. Makes 2 shakes.
I, however, went one step further. I tossed in about 10 ice cubes and one frozen banana. Now this is a smoothie! Yum!
