Dinner Concepts: Toss Together a Healthy, Filling, Vegan Dinner

by Sally Andersen

As I mentioned yesterday, I love asking vegetarians and vegans what they like to eat and cook on a regular basis. I suppose it is my way of gathering ideas for my own menu.

On Friday, I asked my vegetarian coworker Megan if she had a favorite recipe. Here’s what she said:

“I don’t know any fancy recipes off the top of my head, and maybe this is just me, but I never get tired of cannellini beans, frozen mixed vegetables, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese (or not cheese) over pasta with a little bit of olive oil.

“If you need more stuff, and were feeling like making a side dish, I’ve been eating a lot of mixed green salads with walnuts and dried fruit (craisins, etc.).”

Thanks, Megan! The salad sounds like it came from my mom’s kitchen.

Try Galaxy Foods’ Vegan brand Parmesan-flavor Grated Topping (shown here; note: only purple-label Galaxy Foods are vegan) to make this recipe vegan.

    MEGAN THE VEGAN….how quaint!

One thing I noticed when you don’t eat meat and you actually WORK for a living, rather than sitting on your “heini” in an office gossiping when you should be doing something productive….I noticed that those of us who actually have to exert ourselves became very “listless”….how do I know?…because I work a ten - thirteen hour shift in a boning room of a meatworks….watching the ones that don’t eat so well FLAG…..and that goes for the ones that play sport in their spare time, turning up on monday morning and totally USELESS for work….

Vegetarianism, and all it’s ridiculous spinoffs, was created as part of the Fad diet movement, associated with Feminist desires to look beautiful all the time. It amazes me how many office workers kid themselves about the “work” they perform, and then carry forth with a “three square” diet….no wonder they put on wieght and become fat and unattractive to themselves…

The saddest form of life on earth is an overwieght, socially unacceptable and poor woman….she should have all the benefits of sitting on her best asset, but because of the “cult of celebrity”, and perconceptions about what exactly IS “attractive”, she wanders through life looking at the thinner ones and BURNING….If the men of this world would just realize that ALL women can be great in the sack, no matter what they look like, this problem, and FADS like vegetarianism just would not exist…..

Some of the best sexual partners are the ones who are overwieght……they enjoy the experience so much more, and make love as if it was the very last time that this was going to happen….

Some women struggle with these issues all their lives, never realising that it is, in fact, SELF IMAGE that can change this….

We need more overwieght people to get up and be themselves, and not feel that they have to be thin to be “in”.

I’ve never had this problem….I’m a meatworker, a SLICER in a Boning room, but my GENES and intake determine what my wieght will be….If I find myself not working so hard, or I am in a job where there is a lot of sitting around, i simply skip breakfast, and frequently lunch as well, but i always make sure to have one meal every couple or so days to keep the bowels functioning….theres no big secret….it’s just looking after yourself…..

Reject Feminist/Celebrity cult/Fads like vegetarianism, and simply modify your food intake to suit whatever it is you are doing….if this doesn’t work, it’s probably a genetic thing, so be HAPPY with yourself…..pick a bedroom partner that has no “hangups” about beauty…..the beautious ones have the most “bitchiness” anyway, and usually get treated like the human trash that some of them carry on as….

BE HAPPY, THEN BE HEALTHY….EAT IN MODERATION….GET LOTS OF SEX….simple rules, good results….
